Sad Day

Shortly after 7 am this morning I was awakened by a phone call that we all wish we never got. It was the husband of a close friend of mine, Ashley Thompson , letting me know that she had passed in the night. I was in shock to say the least, as she is just a young 25 years old. She was always a wonderful friend to me, always showed me love and concern, at times I felt too much, and now I am so sad that I felt that way. As my life became busier, it was hard to find the time for her,and I don't believe I was the friend I should have/could have been! For that I am so sorry Ashley. She was a great mom, a wonderful friend, and I am so heartbroken for her husband and their little boy Connor. Connor is "MY ANGEL"... I babysat him for nearly 3 years, and have always loved him as one of my own, and she allowed me to do that. She shared with me the most important thing in her life, her little man, and I will be so ever greatful. I bonded with him like with NO other child I ever cared for. I will never forget the love and kindness she shared with me, and the times she listened to me when I was struggling. I love you and miss you Ashley, and I know that you will always be near! For anyone who knew her and her family, her are the services scheduled.
